Re: Is this sentence OK?

You've posted two sentences. The second will be okay if you remove the space before the apostrophe. The first doesn't work. Reverse the words "better learning" and it will be okay.

Here, is better an adverb? I thought that because "learning" is noun, we had to choose "better" as an adjective, and so put it before noun "learning".

In addition, the implementation of technology in the classroom can lead to students learning better.

[STRIKE]Here,[/STRIKE] Is "better" an adverb here? I thought that because "learning" is a noun, we had to choose "better" as an adjective, and so put it before the noun "learning".

Yes, it's an adverb. Both sentences are correct now.

Always isolate words you are asking about from the rest of the sentence by setting them in italics or surrounding them with quotation marks. I had to read your question three or four times before I understood that you were asking about the word better.

Sure GoesStation. Thanks for your correction, and I apologize for the inconvenience. Can I ask an adverb "better" modify "lead" or modify "learning"?

Learning.

Ask Does the adverb "better" modify "lead" or [STRIKE] modify[/STRIKE] "learning"?

The second "modify" isn't ungrammatical but the sentence is lighter without it.
