A ship is under repair now. The same ship is the last to have been admitted to the shipyard in December of 2016/The same ship is the last one that had been admitted to the shipyard in December of 2016.
Do you think that the below-mentioned sentence conveys the idea expressed by the sentences above?
The last ship to have been admitted to the shipyard in December of 2016 is now undergoing repairs.
What is your opinion?

The first two sentences in italics did not mention that the ship is undergoing repairs so I don't think so.
