Use "the lifestyle", not "the living style".

Or use "the cost of living".

No. But the OP didn't explicitly tell us what he/she really wanted to say. We are just guessing. It's more likely that the OP wanted to say "lifestyle" but it could be the cost of living that he/she actually wanted to say.

No, I didn't want to say "cost of living".

1) The lifestyle in New York (City) is quite similar to that [STRIKE]of[/STRIKE] in Las Vegas. OK with my correction.

2) The lifestyle in New York (City) is quite similar to Las Vegas. OK with my correction.

3) Fred's way of doing something is quite similar to that of Bruce. OK but not very natural.

4) Fred's way of doing something is quite similar to Bruce's. OK with my correction.

See above. I'm sure we've told you before that if you use the full name "New York City", you must capitalise all three words.

Note that although they're all now grammatically correct, a native speaker would be unlikely to use any of them. I'd probably say:

The lifestyle in New York and Las Vegas are similar.
Fred does things in a similar way to Bruce.
Fred does things the same way as Bruce.

Rover's suggestions are, of course, grammatically correct. The idea they express about New York and Las Vegas is not factually correct though. It's hard to think of two less-similar cities.
