Hi,

Below is an example sentence from Longman dictionary:

The main topic for discussion will be the proposed new supermarket.

And here is the voice: http://vocaroo.com/i/s1HidclKklTO

When hearing from the voice, it sounds like the "ed" in "proposed" is not pronounced.

Is it correct? Or is it just my problem can't hear the pronunciation of "ed" in the above sentence?

Thanks.

It's a swallowed "-ed" but it's there. Remember that it sounds like just "d" anyway. "Proposed" has only two syllables. Of course, a native speaker would know that the word is "proposed" because "... will be the propose new supermarket" doesn't make sense.
