Hi, everyone!I'd like to ask someone who speaks English as their native language.
Could you read the following passage?
...To an outsider, the most striking thing about English weather is that there is not very much of it. All those phenomena that elsewhere give nature an edge of excitement, unpredictability and danger-tornadoes, strong blizzards, dangerous hurricanes are almost wholly unknown in Great Britain
...What does an edge of excitement mean? I've never heard of this use of edge.Thank you!
