Hello everyone,

I would like to convey the idea that the patients' stomach condition was examined by doctors. Can I say this the following way:

"The patients under control had to undergo the examination of stomach condition".

I'm not sure we can "examinate a condition". Besides this, how do you find "patients under control" in the meaning "patients who are being supervised by doctors"?

Thanks a lot

I don't understand "patients under control."

You can "examine" something. "Examinate" is not a word.

Thanks!!!

It was a terrible misprint of mine. I was in a hurry when typing and, of course, I didn't intend to say "examinate".

"The patients under supervision had to undergo the examination of stomach condition".

What about this option?

Try "...an examination of stomach conditions."

For "patients under control" you could substitute "patients in the study" or "patients participating in the study". Having read the whole draft of your paper, I think this is what you were trying to say.
