Hi teachers,

The principal will not accept my leaves. Correct?
You didn't listen to me even one thing. Correct?
Whom did you consult? Correct?
The flood ruined Pakistan. Correct?

Many thanks.

#3 is correct.

What do you mean by 'leaves' in #1?

Try rephrasing #2; it's ungrammatical.

In #4, did the flood ruin the entire country?

The principal will not accept my leave. When you are allowed to go away from work etc.

Actually, I am translating short sentences from Urdu into English. So I have to use "listen". When somebody doesn't listen to you whatever you say.

It should be a simple sentence.
The flood ruined the entire Pakistan. Correct?

Are you sure that just one flood ruined the entire country?

That explains a lot, Naeem Afzal. You should mention this when you send other posts of this nature.

Have you tried posting in the Other Languages forum? You might find other Urdu speakers there.

With no knowledge of Urdu, we can only guess at the accuracy of your translation.

So we can only say 'Perhaps you mean...'

The principal will not accept my approved absences from work.
You didn't listen to a single thing I said.
The flood caused widespread damage in Pakistan.
