Hi there,

In standard British English, will the two 'r' sounds in each of following words be pronounced?

literary, contrary, library, itinerary, temporary, contemporary

thanks

Usually, but with the vowel between reduced in stress, so they often seem elided.

Even more common = Secretary is pronounced seketary.

It is also that the letter "r" is not easy to say, and so there is a tendency to lose it.
