1 Today is as much for him as any day in his life.
2 Today is as same as any day in his life.
3 Today is the same as any day in his life.

Teachers, which sentence is right? In my opinion, the first one is wrong, in that "as much for him" doesn't make any sense. As for the second one, I am not sure if " as same as" has been used correctly. I think the third one is right.

You could also say 'Today is the same as any other day in his life'.

No. You've omitted the word "any" before "other" and "is" doesn't work there.

Since you seem to have come across 'much', you can say, "Today is much the same as any day in his life", which means "almost the same", "pretty much the same" (which is just adding more words).
