Hello everyone
I'd like to ask about the meaning of the word "reish" in the following passage:

But her companion, smelling his duty, climbed to his feet. "We can't just leave these creatures behind," he argued.
Brace smiled. Then he laughed, quietly and with considerable reish. And he opened his arms while gesturing at the surrounding stomach, admitting, "Oh, I don't intend to leave them. Not at all.

I couldn't find the word "reish" in any dictionary. Using Google I found out that this word can mean "head" or "beginning" but I'm not sure that this meaning fits into the context.
