Hello everyone!
In the paragraph below, [STRIKE]that[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]it[/STRIKE] which is the definition for "take a wrong turn", why does "the wrong way" [STRIKE]have[/STRIKE] include "the"? Perhaps there are several wrong ways and we don't which one. [STRIKE]don't[/STRIKE] Shouldn't we use "a wrong way"? [STRIKE]also[/STRIKE] I have the same question [STRIKE]for[/STRIKE] about "the wrong direction".

Definition of take a wrong turn

:to go the wrong way
:to turn in the wrong direction

When we choose which way or direction to go, we only choose one way or direction at a time. It is that way or direction that is being specified in the phrase "the wrong way/direction".

I understood. Thank you for your useful help.
Can I ask you that, why did you use "Which" for "Way or direction" first time and you use "That" for it second time ?

'Which way' refers to an unspecified way while 'that way' refers to the way that has been chosen.
