They didn't let him "take" or "participate in" the interview because they didn't hold

Once a friend of mine went for the interview at a company. They didn't let him "take" or "participate in" the interview because they didn't "hold" or "organise" walk-in interviews. They didn't consider walk-in "entries" or "participants". They needed to have prior appointment for the interview.

Please check my sentences.

None of your sentences is correct, Mohammad. Please stop answering questions. Your English is not good enough, and you may mislead learners.

Also, your posts don't say "not a teacher". In fact, they claim that you are! I hope you have just left out "not".

No :), he went there and said that he had come for the interview. But they told him that they didn't "hold" or "organise" walk-ins or didn't consider the "entries" or "participants". He had a word with the office boy. The office boy told him that he needed to have a prior appointment for the interview. He asked him the name of the "HR" who had called him for the interview but he didn't have a name to give so he had to come back without being interviewed.

So he thought he had an appointment but couldn't remember the name of the person who invited him, leading him to be treated as a "walk-in". Is that correct?

No he didn't have any appointment. He thought it was a walk-in interview.

So actually the answer to teechar's question should have been "Yes"! Either he had an appointment or he didn't. If he didn't, then he was a "walk-in".

I do sometimes wonder where tufguy comes up with some of the situations he attempts to put into words. It seems to be a world so unlike the home life of our own dear queen.

I do not make-up these incidents and when I make-up a story just to give you the context I never say that it happened for real (even if you close that thread). I told you I never lie (and because of this habit of not lying once I lost my job as well). It happened for real.

How about my sentences?

It would take more time than I have to correct individual parts of your sentences. As I understand it, this is the situation:

My friend thought he had an appointment for an interview at [name of company]. However, when he arrived, there was no record of his appointment and he could not remember the name of the person who had offered him an interview so he was sent away.

That's what I would write.

Thank you, I would like to know whether we can say "Take an interview or participate in an interview"?
