Thief!!

Dear teachers,

When you just got mugged or your bag was snatched and the guy who did it is running away, Can you yell out "Thief!" Or what would be the best thing(s) to say at the time like this to get people's attention and help?

Please help me, thank you.

"Thief" is certainly a good place to start. "Help" never hurts. And, certainly in a large city, yelling for the "Police" will usually get attention.
