If I'm visiting New York City, then should I say 'This is the first time I've visited New York City' or 'This is the first time I'm visiting New York City'?

Could I ask native English teacher to help me? Thank you very much.

"This is the first time I've visited New York" sounds better to me, but "the first time I'm visiting" is okay took.

Actually, though, I'd use a different expression, more colloquial:
"This is the first time I've been to New York."

You can also say,
"This is my first time in New York."

happy travels
