Hi,

Is it OK to say 'She is Alice from our New York office' instead of 'This is Alice from our New York office' when introducing a person? I gather it could be understood but cannot make sure.

Thanks.

You would be understood but it's not natural. When Alice is in front of you, you should use "this". It's okay to refer to her as "she" if you're adding some information about her: "This is Alice from our New York office. She's just arrived, so we're just going to say 'hello' now before we take her to her hotel."

I would not use it in an introduction.
