I'm really sorry because of bothering you time by time to find my everyday words. Thank you all.

Here we use an electrical connector which is very useful to get more connections. It's a flat box, with several sockets on it, with a long cable, that is pluged in into a socket, so you can get more connections afterwards.
Because it usually has three sockets, in our local language, we call it 'three-wayed' or you say a 'three-wayed connector.' Would you please tell me the term you use?

Thanks.

Actually with 'three way connector' I couldn't find my meaning in images.google.com
I meant this picture.

It sounds like a surge protector to me - if it is used to transmit power to a computer. If not, I would call it an extension cord with three plug-ins.

Not all multi-socket gangs have a built-in surge protector. Two of the gangs in my living room are just straight multi-socket gangs and if there's ever a serious power surge, everything will blow. I have one gang with a surge protector which has the important stuff plugged into it.

Would you please tell me the term you use? I call it a three-way adapter.

I thought of "extension" first, but then realised that I would probably use that specifically to refer to the length of the cable (an extension lead).

For me, an extension could have one or more sockets on the end- it has a cable.
