Hi there,
Please tell which one is more appropriate. If both are not, please suggest some. Actually, I don’t know whether ‘through’ is correct here. How can I use ‘through’ correctly.

Teenagers will receive unhealthy messages through playing computer games.
Teenagers will expose themselves to unhealthy messages if they play computer games too often.
