Is the punctuation in the following sentence correct?
There are many everyday activities that we do not enjoy but cannot avoid, thus, no one can be in the flow all of the time.

My suggestions :
(I think that "thus" is a conjunctive adverb that cannot alone connect two independent clauses in the sentence above.)
