Are the conjunctions WHEN and WHILE interchangeable in the clauses of time containing a verb in the Past Continuous Tense?
e.g. While I was going along the street, I met my friend.
When I was going along the street, I met my friend.
e.g. While I was going along the street, I met my friend.
When I was going along the street, I met my friend.
