In English, "Thanks for you" is not correct.

"Thanks to you" - I am thanking you for something "Thanks to you for the lovely card" OR Owing to your contribution "Thanks to you we have enough money to buy him a good leaving present".

"[I/we wish a] Happy Birthday to you"

Well you're right on that one ... but I'm picturing the requestor of this information to be some poor schmuck who's trying to get a handle on English & wants to actually sound like he can speak it.

So I'd go with the boring old correct way. Call me responsible. :shock:​
