Is it convenient for us to take public transport to and from school to the city center?

My question is how to use "to and from" correctly. Is the above sentence naturally written?

Thanks!

No. You can end the sentence after "school" or write "It's convenient for us to take public transportation [AmE] between school and the city center/downtown."
