Hello!
I have a question:
We use to do as the auxiliary verb of regular verbs to produce negative and interrogative sentences.
The question why is to do the auxiliary verb? Why not some other verb?
Can someone explain this to me? Can someone tell me what can I read about this matter?

Thanks very much!
