Are these sentences possible? They sound somehow wrong to me but I'm not quite sure. Meaning: Somebody told me something about the man yesterday.

Is this the man you told me of yesterday?
Is this the man you told me about yesterday?

The second sentence is natural in any context. The first might work in certain contexts but about is much more likely.

So, they can't be misinterpreted as "Today, you told me something about what the man did yesterday"?

No. They don't say anything about the man doing anything at any time.
