1) Tom wanted to have a word with the kidnappers of Ann as being the grandpa of Ann.

2) He wanted to fake to be the grandpa of Ann.

Please check my sentences.

Ann's grandpa kidnapped her?

No, kidnappers did. They wanted to have a word with her grandpa. But Tom wanted to have a word with them as being her grandpa. He wanted to fake to be the grandpa.

Tom wanted to pose as Ann's grandpa in order to have a word with the kidnappers.

Can it be used in both the contexts like "if he is meeting them in person" or "talking to them over the phone"?

Can we say "he wanted to fake to be the Ann's grandpa"? Like I heard it in a video "he faked to be his own dad".

"fake/faking to be" is incorrect. What you heard in the video was wrong.

He wanted to fake being Anna's grandpa.

However, it is much more natural to use "He wanted to pose as Anna's grandpa" or "He wanted to pretend to be Anna's grandpa".
