Which is correct:

1-This car is too posh to go on a long trip in.
2-This car is too posh for going on a long trip in.

3-This car is too posh to go on a long trip.
4-This car is too posh for going on a long trip.

5-In order to go on a long trip, this car is too posh.

6-In order to drive a lot, this car is too posh.

3 wouldonly make sense if the car refused to go because it felt the journey was beneath it.;-)

Thanks Tdol, and believe me I got a car like that. It even thinks that the road is beneath it.
(Actually, I don't have a car, only a bicycle, but it is delusional and sometimes takes itself for a car and sometimes for a ride... OK OK I'll cut it out).
