Good evening, i need to translate a poem. i',ve already did most of it but there's a paragraph i can't understand. The poem is from a music by "Dead can Dance" and it's called "anywhere out of the world".
the part i can´t understand it says :
"and maybe it's me that dream about unrequieted love
the victim of fools that watch and stand in line
away from harm".
I would like you to help me get the most accurate translation into portuguese if it can be done.
thank you

E talvez seja eu que sonho sobre amor não correspondido
A vítima de tolos que observam e ficam parados
longe de perigo

It is difficult to translate songs.
Have you tried the vagalume.com.br (or a similar one from Portugal)?

What exactly do you mean by "most accurate"? Do you mean a literal one or a free one?

Do you have an initial suggestion for the translation?

PS I guess it would have been more appropriate if you had posted in the "other languages" section.

;-) It would have been more appropriate. 'Appropriated' means 'taken away (often without permission).

b

PS I've just noticed something I should have pointed out. In 'appropriate' the last vowel is a schwa; in 'appropriated' the corresponding vowel is a diphthong.
