If we limite the word "travel" to "journey thru or over" or "pass from one place to another. Are these 2 words interchangable?

Do you mean are these two phrases interchangeable?

That will depend on the context of the sentence.

"My travels through Asia took me to many countries" = journey through or over

"My travels took me from Africa to China and Japan" = pass from one place to anothe.

Thanks Angelika. But I meant the words "traverse" and "travel".

It's most likely to right to say:

I traveled thru this treacherous terrains of the Yu-li mountains.

but can I say:

I traversed thru this treacherous terrains fo the Yu-li mountains?

Sorry about the confusion.

I travelled through the treacherous terrain of the Yu-li mountains.

OR

I traversed the treacherous terrain of the Yu-li mountains?

And I would have thought 'travel' more accurately denotes movement by some means (e.g. train, plane).

Then I just have to treat you as if..........till you get tired of it.

It's so interesting that I came upon a new book in the library about Shakespear. I can't remember the title, something like "revealing Shakespear", or "discoverying Shakespear" (like it's never been done before, has it?). Supposedly this book is the one book with authoraty and extednded research on hard facts and so forth. Having not read one book of Shakespear's work, I thought maybe I could get accquainted with this fella thru this book, a short cut if you will. After flipping a few pages, I deemed it to be way over my head. Anyway, that's a little brushing the shoulders with your brother. Say hi for me.

Sounds interesting.

It's a common mis-conception that I have any of the talent of my brother...in fact, while he got into writing, I found I was better at plumbing.
