Are all the sentences below in compliance with rules regarding tense agreement?

1. His mother is crying because he hasn't come home. The comma was unnecessary.

2. His mother cries, because he hasn't come home.
:cross:

3. His mother cries, because he didn't come home.
:cross:

4. His mother is crying because he didn't come home.
:tick:

A better title would have been His mother is crying/cries.
