"turn it all over"

hi,

i was supposed to turn a bowl of coins into a container in order to pay my train ticket and i heard that sentence (or something similar) from a cashier at a subway station in toronto.

why "over" is used in this sentence?

‘Turn over’ is a phrasal verb. To ‘turn over’ in this context is to give or hand over something (your fare money) to someone, especially someone in authority (the Toronto transit cashier).
