That is an interseting question. the word 'series' is listed in most dictionaries as being plural but without a singular form. The word actually has a meaning similar to 'group' or 'set' which explains why it takes singular agreement e.g. 'a series of games'. There is no other form that I am aware of.

"series" is both singular and plural , derived from Latin series,singular and its plural series derived from serere to string together

The singular and the plural are the same = series.
