What ,singular or plural, verb should we use when the subject of a sentence is two uncountable nouns?

Q2. The sugar and salt dissolves/dissolve in water. In cookery instructions, if the two substances have been previously combined, then "dissolves"; if not, then "dissolve".
Q3. Milk and meat is/are very important food resources.
Q4. Wool, silk and leather comes/come from animals.
Q5. Cotton, rubber and wood comes/come from plants.
Q6. Glass, plastic, paper and steel is/are materials that is/are made from other materials.
Q7. Wool, silk, and cotton is/are used to make clothes.
