Can I say "my family is very united" ? (I mean, we can count on one another, we are always in touch, etc) (is "united" gradable ?)

- What do you call that king of doctor that deals with dead people (does necropsy, autopsy etc) :?

Thank you.

I think you can say very united, but a better adjective for what you have in mind is close-knit.

The name of the physician is pathologist.

There's also the 'coroner', who decides on the cause of death. ;-)

I think coroner is an official title. The coroner's office is established by law. Any pathologist can determine the cause of death, but a coroner is desinnated by law to investigate suspicious deaths.
