use of electricity

Please correct these sentences
The electricity has gone( how to say this in present tense)
It looks like rain (I mean it seems that its gonna rain)

The electricity has gone( how to say this in present tense)
It looks like rain (I mean it seems that its gonna rain)

For the present tense in the first sentence, you can really only say "There is no electricity supply [at the moment]."

"It looks like rain" is fine if you are saying that in your opinion you think the sky has the appearance of approaching rainfall.
