Please can someone advise whether these sentences are correct?

"I am confident in my ability to succeed in the MBA programme at Lancaster University Management School."

[/FONT] [FONT=&quot]"Having left the company at the end of January 2010, I have decided to pursue my ambition of studying for an MBA at [/FONT]Cass Business School."

Having left the company at the end of January 2010, I have decided to pursue my ambition of studying for an MBA at Cass Business School- When did you make the decision? This seems more logical to me:
After deciding to pursue my ambition of studying for an MBA at Cass Business School, I left the company in January 2010.
Or
I left the company in January 2010 to pursue...
