hi,

can I omit the pronoun "I" in a informal talk?

examples:

1) Have just arrived from England. It was great!

2) What time is it?
Sorry. Don't know.

3) Hey, saw you crossing Church street last week!

4) Have never seen a movie like this before.

thanks,
jc

Yes you can. However, of the examples you gave -

1) Have just arrived from England. It was great! OK in informal writing such as a postcard probably unlikely in conversation

2) What time is it?
Sorry. Don't know. OK in informal conversation

3) Hey, saw you crossing Church street last week! OK in informal conversation

4) Have never seen a movie like this before. I wouldn't use this one in conversation might be possible in very informal writing
