using "please"

Hi

I would like to know if there's anything wrong with the sentence "For your information, please."

The "please" sounds out of place yet some people use it to show politeness. The same question applies to "For your approval, please" and the like.

Please help. Thank you.

I wouldn't use it in your example; you're assisting the person, not asking them to do something for you. ;-)
