Does the following sentence make sense to you?
In addition, UV radiation ought to be prevented from spreading to neighbouring stands.
or
Would it be better to say?
In addition, one should prevented UV radiation from spreading to neighbouring stands.
I am in favour of the latter version.
What do you think?

Context: instructions on how to perform welding work.

The second requires a bare infinitive after should. With that correction, it's better than the original.

A typo as usual.
In addition, one should prevent UV radiation from spreading to neighbouring stands.
