A call center agent told me this:

The additional information you sent to us is very helpful.

Does the word 'TO' make any sense?
'Sent us' is fine, right?
Why do Filipinos have to use 'send to' considering that 'send' will stand alone?

It's neither incorrect nor required.

I can't answer the "why" part.

What did you sent Jim? What did you send to Jim? -- both are fine.

But: I sent him a sweater and I sent a sweater to him are okay, while *I sent to him a sweater is not natural.
