hello.

I need to write a letter to a very big department of a very serious firm.
The purpose of the letter is a request for technical information for personal research.

How do i begin my letter?

First, please see the corrections to your original post. You will need to check your spelling and your punctuation when you have written your letter.

You should begin "Dear Sir/Madam"

You could then say "I am writing to request some technical information about your company for some personal research". You will then need to tell them exactly what information you need.

You should finish "I look forward to hearing from you. Yours faithfully...."
