I need a couple of examples of sentences similar to 'Please wait a little' where a little follows a verb. It turned out to be a difficult task, so far I could come up only with 'I miss him a little' and no more. Is verb + a little really so rare in sentences? Could you help me and think of some?
P.S. Just as I was writing, it struck me with think a little, perhaps, there are some more?
