It means 'become lively'. It's the opposite meaning of the one expressed in the article's title, 'Why does vitamin B12 make me sleepy?'

But I cannot understand how you can associate "wake you up" as the opposite of the title, Why does vitamin B12 make me sleepy? I ask this question because it is still blur for me to understand this. The other possibility still appears in my mind.

Thank you.

The piece explains that a Vitamin B12 supplement would normally be expected to make someone more lively (make them more awake). However, the person who posted the question on the forum has found that taking a Vitamin B12 supplement seems to be making him/her tired (sleepy) and he/she wants to know why.
