Hello everyone
I'm not very sure about the following sentence, especially the part "was first detected in 21 employees". Is "in" the correct preposition to be used?

In 2007 cochlear neuritis was first detected in 21 employees who had worked for the Company for 1-2 years and not everyone of them had been exposed to a harmful factor, i.e. noise
