Hello everyone
I'd like to ask about some things in the following passage that are somewhat unclear to me.
Silverstain then said, "Sir, I just got pinged by HQ. They're recalling the EW1s. Apparently, Takeda's design had some flaws, and in the rush to get them out to the field, they missed it the first time. The containment units start---leaking, sir."
"What impecable timing," Hastings muttered.
"I'm so glad we wasted time, effort, and lives saving his crany arse in San Diego, McNeil said. "Well, nothing to be done now, and Company 7's the only one they were issued to. I just hope they don't start---leaking, was it?
"Yes, sir," Silverstain said.
"Out there. Or if they do, Vega deals with it.
It's somewhat unclear to me what highlighted phrases mean. I have only one guess for "if they do". I think it means "if the weapons start leaking"
