Romance means feelings of love while chemistry between two people means a powerful attraction -usually sexual. As to admirology I haved never heard this term and it is not in the dictionary. However, it seems to be related to the word admire - possibly it is intended to meav deep respect or admiration. Where did you come across the word?

:)

Hi Horsa,
Thank you for your reply. I would like to tell you that  it was me who mentioned the word 'chemistry', are you sure that it means sexual attraction? I only meant possible attraction... my bf replied ((Chemistry Then! i thought it might be admire-ology)) ... did i go so far without need?

thanks

Thank you for your reply Horsa, I did not mean what you mentioned in your reply about 'chemistry' that it means sexual attraction ... are you sure ??...
It was my bf who replied 'i thought it was admir-ology rather than chemistry'.
Would you kindly explain what he meant here?
Thanks again

It does but not in the way you think. I didn't mean that the two immediately ... Just that the attraction and closeness between them is very strong and immediate. It usually is said about people in the very early stages of a relationship when they constantly want to be together and it is usually obvious to all around them.

I missed the fact that at least one of you is a native speaker. :) I'm not sure what your boyfriend meant as I have no idea what admirology is.

Out of interest I checked the Oxford Dictionary and it says that one of the meanings is - "colloquial sexual attraction"

However, don't worry about it as I said it doesn't mean ... just that the attraction is strong and mutual.

Hope I haven't caused you a problem with your bf
