What does "walk you" mean?

First thing we're going to do is get you on base-just about every time you go up to bat. Just because you can't swing the bat well doesn't mean you can't get on base. We're going to make them walk you every time.

How can one walk a person? Need a leash? 8)

It's a baseball term. If the player at bat hits a ball, s/he automatically runs to first base. If the player is unable to hit the ball because the pitch is outside the strike zone, and that happens 4 times, then s/he automatically advances to first base by walking.
