What is "Quirk"?

I have noticed on several post a reference to "Quirk." Is this an English reference guide? Is there an online link to it that someone can share? I am curious and want to learn more about it.

I found The Chicago Manual of Style but would be interested in finding other reference material.

I have it on my computer. You can download the whole book from the Internet. Use Google to find a source. You will get the book in pdf format. Remove the key using a pdf key removing program, which you can also download from the Internet. ;-)
