The first one means, think carefully before using the Lord's name. The second one has two meanings: 1) Do not use the words "God" or "Jesus" in a profane expression. 2) In the biblical sense, "take" does not mean "speak"; it means "take on" or "bear", to bear the Lord's name with integrity, faith, and charity. If the name is used without integrity, faith, and charity, or in a way that is a hindrance to the Lord, then the purpose of the name has not been achieved. Everything one does or says reflects back on the name. The name can be beared honorably or dishonorably, faithfully or unfaithfully.
