Hi!
We were reviewing 1st, 2nd and 3rd conditionals in class.
One student asked what kind of conditional the next statement is:

"If you haven't seen this movie, I recommend it to you"

I honestly told her I would search for an answer because I was no sure if it's zero conditional.
Could you help me with this?
Thanks in advance.

Hi!
We were reviewing first, second, and third conditionals in class.
One student asked what kind of conditional the next statement is:

"If you haven't seen this movie, I recommend it to you"

I'm not a grammarian, but it looks to me like first conditional:

IF this happened, THEN that will happen.
IF you haven't seen it, THEN I recommend it.

Zero conditional (unconditional?) would be: If you saw it, I'll recommend it.

Of course, there'd be no need to recommend it if your friend already saw it. So zero conditional wouldn't make sense.

Let's see what others think.
