2. My friends are what make me happy.
3. My friends are that what makes me happy.
4. My friends are that which makes me happy.


Are these sentences grammatically correct?
 
I would only use #1.

I don't think #1 is wrong.

My friends are what (the thing that) makes me happy.
 
#1 isn't wrong. In fact, I prefer 1 over 2, since I can't help reading the sentence as an answer to the question What makes you happy?
