The following is a conversation between a doctor and a patient.

Patient: What stage is my disease?

Doctor: Your disease is in last stage.

Please check my sentences.

Not a teacher.

There are two variations to address here.

In a general disease, (NOT CANCER) if you mean to say this person will soon die... we would use one of the following terms:

Your disease is in the terminal stage.
Your disease is in it's end-stage.
You have end-stage disease. (this is most common)

I think saying "Your disease is in last stage" is unusual, and unclear.

However, in referring to cancer in particular, the term 'stage' has a more specific medical terminology. You can use a number from 1-4, such as 'stage 4', when discussing cancer. However, these have specific pathological definitions.

You can also say "end-stage" when referring to cancer, if you mean that the person will die soon, or 'early-stage' if you mean it is early... generally stage 1 or 2.

Note the correct punctuation (no apostrophe and no hyphen):

Your disease is in its end stage.

Would it be correct to say "... at its end stage"?
